Protein A/G MagBeads(IP Grade) -5mL

Protein A/G MagBeads use nano-surface biotechnology (S-TEC) to coat superparamagnetic polymer microspheres with a high density of Protein A and Protein G. This gives the beads strong antibody binding ability and a very low rate of non-specific protein adsorption. With a simple one-step purification, antibodies can be isolated from serum samples at over 90% purity. Protein A, from Staphylococcus aureus, and Protein G, from Streptococcus species, both bind to the Fc region of most mammalian IgG antibodies but differ in binding specificity. By covalently combining genetically modified versions of both proteins on the bead surface, these MagBeads offer a broader binding range and reduced background binding. They are suitable for use with cell lysates, culture supernatants, serum, ascites, and other immunological samples.
